Private AI
Private AI for work you cannot leak.
Glaucon is a private AI assistant built for professionals who need structural privacy — not policy promises alone. End-to-end encryption, attested hardware enclaves, and zero-data-retention inference on every model call.
What “private AI” should mean
Many tools say they are private because they do not train on your data. That is necessary, not sufficient. If prompts are readable on the server, stored in plaintext, or logged by the model provider, your work is still exposed.
Glaucon treats privacy as architecture:
- E2EE — prompts encrypted in your browser before they leave your device
- TEE inference — decrypted and run only inside an attested AMD SEV-SNP hardware enclave
- ZDR routing — model providers are contractually and technically barred from retaining or training on your queries
- Zero-knowledge cloud (Pro) — history and files are encrypted under keys only you hold; Glaucon stores ciphertext only, cannot decrypt them, and has no server-side recovery backdoor
- Passwordless by design — sign in with an email magic link and unlock your encrypted cloud with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passkey. No password to phish, reuse, or leak
Glaucon vs. typical AI chat
| Capability | Glaucon | Typical AI assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Prompt encryption before upload | Yes (browser AES-256-GCM) | Often TLS only |
| Server-readable chat history | No plaintext on the edge | Stored by default |
| Saved history & files | Zero-knowledge ciphertext — provider can’t decrypt | Readable by the provider |
| Model provider retention | ZDR by default | Varies; often logged |
| Hardware-backed inference | Attested TEE enclave | Standard cloud VMs |
| Account & key custody | Passwordless; keys held only on your device | Password + provider-held account |
| Frontier models (Claude, GPT, Gemini) | Same privacy stack | Same models, different posture |
Who private AI is for
Legal, consulting, finance, strategy, and research work where NDAs, client data, unreleased financials, or proprietary analysis cannot enter a shared training corpus or vendor log.
Glaucon is designed for high-stakes professional work — contracts, confidential analysis, decision support, and documentation — without choosing between capability and discretion.
Only you hold the key
Your encrypted cloud history and file vault are sealed with keys that never leave your device. Glaucon cannot read them, cannot hand them over, and cannot reset them — there is no backdoor, by design. That is privacy enforced by architecture, not promised by policy. Read the Privacy Policy and Trust center for the full cryptographic detail.
